Anne-Lise Boutin Biography

Anne-Lise Boutin is a French artist who graduated from E.S.A.A. Duperré and from The Arts Décoratifs in Paris. She currently works on a regular basis for daily publications such as Libération, Le Monde, The Guardian, the NYT) and for various magazines.

She created many book covers (for children and adults) for many publishers, such as J’ai Lu, Le Seuil, Fayard, Hatier, Actes Sud Junior, La Joie de Lire, Belin, etc.

She also illustrated these children books :
“ Le dico des signes et symboles religieux” (2006, Actes Sud Junior).
“ L’Ami l’iguane” (2008, éditions du Rouergue).
” Contes à croquer tout crus” (2010, éditions Sarbacane).
” Il était une fois les filles” (2011, Actes Sud Junior).

Anne-Lise Boutin is the author and illustrator of « Gommettes Circus », published in April 2013 (Sarbacane), which then became an iPad application.Her work is also geared towards advertising (Christofle, Lancome, Kenzo, etc.) and music for which she created a few posters for concerts.

Her illustrations in paper cuts and collage are inspired by popular arts, magic and the unusual.

She taught graphic design and illustration for 5 years at LISAA and regularly runs workshops and conferences in elementary, middle and high schools as well as in art schools (ENSAD, Atelier de Sèvres, etc.)
