Marlena Stawarz Biography
Marlena Stawarz is an artist working with paper to create illustrations and sculptural objects, from editorial pieces to window displays. Educated across architecture, fashion design, and graphic design, she approaches each commission as a synthesis of structure, material, and image. Her hallmarks – precise cuts, dynamic compositions, rich detail, and unexpected color pairings – merge botanical motifs with geometric forms. Marlena has collaborated with clients such as Vogue Italia, Disney+, Pandora, and Universal Music, and her work has been recognized in Poland (KTR Award) and internationally (Communication Arts 2024, Illustration Shortlist).
Her process begins with sketches, followed by hand-cutting individual elements from paper. Using a stylus, she scores and folds the pieces into sculptural compositions that become either physical installations – such as window displays – or photographs used as illustrations.
